Substance Abuse Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

Program Description:

This program and clinic will serve Wake, Durham, Cumberland and Johnston and Harnett counties, which all have communities in need of this service. Our current Behavioral Health clinic provides Outpatient Therapy and Substance Abuse Counseling.

Responsibilities:

The NP/PA will work under the direct supervision of the Medical Director and other program Physicians and is responsible for carrying out the Medical Director's orders regarding the administration of medical treatment. The NP/PA may perform all permitted medical evaluation and treatment functions in accordance with all applicable Federal and State Laws and Regulations.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


Quality Of Work:

The NP/PA maintains professional standards and follows the treatment policies of the clinic while adhering to all state and federal regulations and accreditation agency standards applicable to individual licensure and narcotic treatment programs.

The NP/PA will be used in compliance with the licensing and scope of practice requirements listed in Business and Professions Code and corresponding regulations adopted by the Medical Board and / or the Board of Registered Nurses in the state of locale.


The NP/PA is responsible for providing support and training to other medical staff, attending case conferences, consulting with clinic staff and patients regarding Outpatient Treatment, and attending staff meetings / training. The NP/PA may prepare reports, review records and provide counseling as deemed necessary by the Medical Director and / or the Clinic Director. The NP/PA has knowledge of and is culturally sensitive to employees and to the problems of the patients of this clinic.


Quantity Of Work: The NP/PA will dedicate a minimum of 90% of regularly scheduled work hours to direct patient care. The remaining time will be dedicated to administrative duties.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in substance abuse and addiction treatment preferred.

  • Professional knowledge of health care principles, practices and procedures obtained through an accredited Nurse Practitioner/Physician's Assistant training program.

  • Licensed to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of North Carolina.


 


 

Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist- Mental Health Therapist

Job Responsibilities :

The ideal Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist is an excellent communicator and listener with strong therapeutic skills who works well as part of an interdisciplinary team and runs open and productive therapy sessions.

DUTIES AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conducting clinical assessments

  • Running individual, family and group outpatient therapy sessions

  • Developing person-centered plans for service users

  • Oversee the discharge planning process

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate degree in Social Work or a related field

  • Valid licensure to provide mental/behavioral healthcare services in the state of North Carolina

  • Minimum 2 years experience working with individuals with mental and/or behavioral health issues that includes writing person-centered plans, conducting effective group therapy and providing mental health diagnoses

  • General working knowledge of the human services delivery system in North Carolina

  • Valid driver's license, auto insurance and reliable transportation

  • Ability to pass a background check

  • Employee supervisory experience preferred

  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) preferred

OPT/Bilingual Therapist

Job Responsibilities :

 

  • Provide clinical assessments, individual/family/group therapy. 

  • To provide therapeutic interventions to the identified client in order to enhance and foster the client's optimal functioning and interactions in the home and community.

  • Respond accordingly to accepted crisis intervention methods and techniques.

  • To provide the appropriate documentation for service delivery including treatment goals, progress notes and billing.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Document direct service delivery and submit said documentation according to agency and insurance standards.

  • Ability to travel within the agency's service area or other locations as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Master's degree in a Human Service field 

  • Licensure/Certification issued by the governing board regulating a human service profession

  • Male and Female Bilingual candidates highly desired
